The Blood of the Coven(ant) is Thicker than the Water of the Womb
The saying blood is thicker than water always bothered me because it so often was not my experience. As an adult I never felt held by family and I’m sure they’ve never felt held by me, either. Sometimes you’re born into the right family for a period of time but as you become yourself, you outgrow them. As a queer person I know this happens more often than not. My relationships with my friends and community have saved my life a couple of times. I hope I have been able to do that for other queer people, too.
I can’t remember where I came across the full bible quote a few months ago, but it stopped me in my tracks. I hand beaded every single seed bead on this, backstitched individually into place. It’s fine! I’m not batshit! LOLZ.
